Sticky Kids and Windy Kids

P1/2 have had a busy couple of weeks going out and about. Last week, they attended a fun and exercise interactive performance at Strathpeffer Pavilion called Sticky Kids…many of them actually got up on the stage and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Today, they have visited a Wind Farm at Achlain, called Millennium Wind Farm. What an amazing place! Ewan, who works for Falck Renewables very kindly showed us around. He gave us loads of facts about heights, speed of rotation of the blades, weight of concrete etc etc. What I do remember is that the 26 turbines at the site we visited today are enough to provide electricity to approximately 36,000 homes (that’s roughly enough for the whole of the population of Inverness).

Recently too, we did our very own performance, of the Very Hungry (healthy) caterpillar.
